East Moriches Elementary School recently welcomed its newest families for Kindergarten “Big Little Night,” a cherished EMO tradition designed to introduce incoming students and their parents to the Elementary School gym in a fun, safe, and engaging way.
The event gave families an opportunity to meet EMO’s Physical Education teachers while becoming familiar with the gym space they will soon use regularly. Through age-appropriate activities focused on movement, teamwork, and play, students were able to explore the environment in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
“Big Little Night” also served as an important first step in building comfort and confidence for both students and parents as they prepare for the transition into kindergarten. The evening emphasized healthy habits, physical activity, and the strong sense of community that defines East Moriches Elementary.
Families in attendance enjoyed an energetic and positive night that highlighted EMO’s commitment to student wellness, safety, and meaningful traditions that bring the school community together.
